J&T Express, a global-scale delivery service provider, revealed that shipping trends among the public during Ramadan 2026 have become increasingly diverse. Data from J&T Express shows that the fashion category dominated shipments during Ramadan 2026. Interestingly, not only fashion dominated, this year’s Ramadan was also accompanied by high demand from other categories, reflecting the diverse needs of the public during Ramadan.
The following are the product categories most frequently shipped by J&T Express customers during the Ramadan 2026 period:
1. Fashion. The dominance of the fashion category in shipments reflects the strong tradition of people preparing new clothes for Eid. On the other hand, this also shows that the trend of online fashion shopping remains high during Ramadan.
2. Beauty. The high volume of beauty product shipments reflects the increasing attention of the public toward personal care. Ahead of the moment of gathering during Eid, the need to present their best appearance drives demand in this category.
3. Documents. The dominance of document shipments shows that administrative activities continue during the increase in shipments for Eid preparation needs, with higher demand usually occurring ahead of the long Eid holiday.
Robin Lo, CEO of J&T Express, said that these findings reflect how people utilize logistics services more broadly during Ramadan.
“Ramadan this year shows that shipments are no longer driven by just one type of need. Various needs arise simultaneously, from Eid preparation, personal needs, to professional activities. This indicates that logistics services are increasingly becoming part of people’s daily lives,” he said.
From a regional perspective, Jakarta and Surabaya became the main shipment destinations during Ramadan 2026, driven by their roles as metropolitan cities with high population density and economic activity. Shipment demand in both cities comes not only from consumption but also from business activities that continue during the Ramadan period. Interestingly, Bekasi City also recorded high shipment volumes, in line with its position as a growing satellite city.
“Ramadan is not only a moment of increased shipment volume, but also a period that emphasizes the strategic role of logistics services in supporting various aspects of people’s lives. Therefore, we continue to maintain network readiness and service quality, to be able to meet increasingly dynamic shipping demands in various moments,” Robin concluded.
