Unlike the campus-to-campus roadshow in previous years, at the end of this January J&T Express visited one of the campuses located in Bandung, West Java to participate in the seminar activity "The Role of Human Resources and Technology in Developing Indonesia's Logistics System in Industrial Era 4.0 "Organized by the Harapan Bangsa Institute of Technology on January 31, 2020.

The event, which was attended by more than 200 participants consisting of lecturers and students from various campuses, was held in the hope that students could find out the role of human resources and technology in developing logistics systems in the industrial era 4.0, have insight into the needs of the logistics industry 4.0 on the ability and skills of resources human resources, as well as providing information on the characteristics of human resources needed in the logistics industry by inviting J&T Express as an express company that puts forward technology and participates in the digital age 4.0.

In a 30-minute session, Yohanes Lim as Cargo and Operations Manager of J&T Express as a practitioner in logistics explained the advantages of utilizing technology such as Artificial Intelligence and the internet of things in the process of operating and distributing packages in express delivery services starting from the package unloading process to the delivery process and how J&T Express faces challenges in the industrial era 4.0.

"There are so many challenges in the 4.0 era where all use systems and technology, especially revolutionary progress. But on the one hand the use of technology in the logistics industry is very helpful in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the current J&T Express which continues to implement the latest technology in its business. On this occasion we can share a little implementation of digital technology that we apply in our operations to the younger generation "said Yohanes.

J&T Express itself since its inception in 2015 until now continues to be supported by updated equipment and equipment that is qualified in terms of its operations. Starting from the real time tracking system, the use of automatic sorting machines that can sort to 108 destinations in one round, the regulated agent facility in the sorting warehouse to the construction of public areas which will be facilitated with increasingly qualified technology.
